My name is Cristina Vera also known as Antiquevelvet, I’m an Avant-Garde and psychedelic photographer that loves dabbling in other art forms.
Photography became the only way I could communicate clearly when letters scrambled around in my head and words failed to form. My art became the vulnerability and emotions I couldn't express. The psychedelic vibe I have within my photos are embraced by the fantasy world I have created for myself. Each photograph is a sentimental story told. Once I touch that camera and interact with others it feels like everything else fades away.
Reality doesn’t satisfy me, my imagination is the solution. There is no other way of communicating my inner thoughts, fears or even happiness. There are some days I feel blue, yellow, or even as colorful as a prism shinning in the sun! My imagination is sometimes an enigma to myself. I’ve lost my mind creating the images in my head and I couldn’t be saner. This is my art, this is who I am, and this is what makes me free!
